Thanks to all for praying. Just to let you know how things are now. Joe was able to get the blood results and the EEG results late Thursday afternoon. Here in Mexico, any time tests, X-rays, etc. are done, the results are given to the patient. Then the patient takes them to the doctor. So..... Friday morning we sat waiting our turn to see the doctor. He looked at the results and thought and looked again and started asking questions and explaining. The results of the blood, urine and such tests were normal except for very high triglycerides. The cholestrol was within acceptable levels. We eat a mostly vegetable diet but Joe does love rice, pasta, and beans along with cokes, chocolate and ice cream bars. So he is to cut all that in half but keep up with the vegetables and take a pill every morning to help lower the triglycerides. As for the EEG, that showed some abnormal brain activity. Guess it was good that he still had a headache when they did that test. After some discussion, Joe went with the doctor's recommendation to try a very small dose of medicine every night for a month to see if it would have an effect. This medicine is used in the treatment of migraines and epilepsy. Friday night was the first dose. Saturday was not a good day for Joe. He still had the bad constant headache and great sensitivity to light, noise, etc. Sunday was better but still with some sensitivity. He went to church with sunglasses and ear plugs but he was there the entire service. Monday was better with very little headache and even less sensitivity. Tuesday and Wednesday have been better and he only gets a headache for a few minutes if at all. Just the opposite of the all day with a few minutes relief here and there that it was, praise the Lord! Yesterday, he mowed the yard and trimmed the bouganvillas, out in the sun without sunglasses part of the time! Today, he is out in the shop cleaning it up and working on the kitchen pantry doors. And he has been going out without the sunglasses. He even added 2 four digit numbers together and beat me on the calculator, which is normal for him but something that hasn't been happening for some time now because he was having trouble just remembering two numbers much less 2 four digit numbers! We will see how things go till the end of this month. Then we go back to the doctor for the next step in the process. So, thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray. And thank you for your financial support with these extra expenses.
