Every 3 months or so, the church has a Friends Banquet. Church members invite friends who don't know the Lord. You can invite as many people as you want, as long as you pay for their meals. There is music, singing and entertainment. The last banquet for this year was Sunday evening, November 4th. I didn't get to go because of the horse fall and I had 2 ladies who had agreed to come for sure this time. Joe went in my place.
They really enjoyed the banquet. Turns out they knew many of the people there, especially some of the singers. They heard the salvation message but had to leave to give some medicine to a sick youngster before the salvation call. I know they have been affected. They have brought us some chicken soup and come by to visit me and called. And these are not normal behaviors with people you have just met around here!
Soon as I can go walking around the track again, (without feeling dizzy because of the concussion) I will be visiting and sharing with them again. I know God is calling them into His family. Please pray for these 2 ladies and for me. Thanks.
